Action's Honor
Guard was formed after the events of September,11th in order to pay
respect to our fallen brothers. Paramedic Dawn Zahar adopted the
project and was able to form an Honor Guard composed of eight
uniformed members who constantly trained and practiced and were ready
in a relatively short time. The Action Honor Guard was first utilized
on Saturday, October 27th for Firefighter Gerard Dewan
(the uncle of Michael Dewan, Action supervisor) who made the ultimate
sacrifice on September 11th at the WTC. Shortly thereafter, the honor
guard was utilized in the funeral of Josh Hanson, an EMT killed in the
line of duty. The Action Honor Guard has been very active since it was
formed, participating in funerals and parades.
